Who is Kaitlyn L.?
Kaitlyn Larkin is a third-year Child Clinical Psychology doctoral student at Northern Illinois University. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Fairfield University. At Fairfield, Kaitlyn was in the honors program and was invited to join several academic honor societies including Phi Beta Kappa, Psi Chi, and Sigma Xi. Prior to beginning graduate school, Kaitlyn worked for two years in the play2PREVENT Lab at Yale University as a postgraduate research associate.  


Currently, Kaitlyn’s research is focused on risk and protective factors related to adverse childhood experiences. Evidenced by over 10 published peer-reviewed scientific articles, Kaitlyn possesses expertise in research methods and academic writing. She also has experience tutoring introduction to psychology, psychological statistics, and psychopathology courses. She is additionally able to assist students in learning the psychological statistics softwares SPSS and R.

Kaitlyn is a warm, friendly, and knowledgeable tutor who meets students where they are at to help them achieve their academic goals. Through utilizing therapeutic skills learned in her graduate training, Kaitlyn is able to help students improve their self-esteem, employ evidence-based knowledge acquisition techniques, and gain confidence in their academic abilities.

Hourly Rate

$70/hour for remote and online tutoring. 

Cancellation Policy

I allow cancellations with more than 24 hours advance notice. Cancellations within 24 hours will incur a cancellation fee equal to half of a session. Cancellations the week before and the week of finals, Regents, AP tests, IB tests, and college finals are not permitted. In addition, greater than three cancellations may result in a permanent cancellation of sessions with me.
